In 2013 Raquel Moniz obtained her master’s degree in Law and a final thesis on Economic decision theory: progress and legal applications in the specialty of Political Economy from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon. She had previously, in 2004, obtained her law degree from the same Faculty. She has worked as an Aid both to the Secretary of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (2009) and to the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs (2009-2010). She has also served as a legal consultant at the Department of Banking Supervision of the Bank of Portugal (2007-2009). She is also a frequent speaker at conferences concerning her main areas of interest. She has published a few academic articles and papers on the subjects of Tax Law and Energy Law. Her main areas of expertise include Economic, Fiscal and Tax Law. She is a member of the research group on Crisis, Public Policies, Taxation Policies and the Euro.
