Conference - And After the Goodbye to the State Budget?

By rejecting the draft State Budget law, the Assembly of the Republic created a delicate situation from a political point of view, which will be the subject of lively controversy and opened up legal issues that require the greatest consideration.

In the tradition of analyzing and monitoring the Portuguese financial reality, the Center of Ivestigation in European, Economic, Financial and Fiscal Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon convened a group of professors from the Faculty linked to the subject to appreciate it at a zoom conference, in which the issues will be analyzed. conditions under which the country may be governed in the near future.

The debate will highlight, above all, the consequences of the long period of budget executed by twelfths, which impedes innovations, paralyzes decisions already taken and frustrates expectations.

The possibility of not forming an absolute majority in possible elections could significantly aggravate the situation, making the implementation of the PRR more difficult.

The Conference will be opened by the Faculty Director, Paula Vaz Freire and moderated by journalist Sérgio Anibal.
