IDEFF today signed a Cooperation Protocol with the Competition Authority (Autoridade da Concorrência), involving various forms of scientific collaboration in the fields of competition and regulation law and which considers, among other items, the possibility of an Academic Partnership for a future publication of a Journal of Competition and Regulation Law, which will fill a vital gap in Portuguese academic journal publishing, by enabling those involved in competition law - jurists and economists within the interdisciplinary framework of this area - to produce regular analyses of the main themes and issues within this academic field. In addition to its interdisciplinary focus, the new Journal will also have unique features within the Portuguese publishing context, by placing a clear focus an international perspective (as indicated in the editorial criterion to publish texts in Portuguese, English or French).
At the ceremony to sign the Protocol the Competition Authority was represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Manuel Sebastião and by the Member of its Board Mestre João Espírito Santo Noronha and IDEFF was represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Eduardo Paz Ferreira and Vice-President, Prof. Dr. Luis Silva Morais.
